CFWO — Our Story

Our journey started back in the early 1900s, when the first members of the Khemani family ignited a passion for community service and compassion. Over the generations, that small spark grew into a deep family tradition of giving back.
Today, our founder and CEO—the proud fourth-generation carrier of this legacy—continues that tradition. Inspired by the values and dedication of those who came before him, he established the Children & Families Welfare Organization (CFWO) in 2012, with a clear mission, to transform lives through meaningful, lasting social change.
We focus primarily on Sindh Province in Pakistan, especially the Tharparkar Desert region—one of the most underserved and overlooked areas. Home to around 1.65 million people (based on recent estimates), Tharparkar struggles with deep poverty, malnutrition, limited education and healthcare, and scarce clean water.
Our projects are designed to reach the remotest rural communities—the places where help often doesn’t arrive. We actively work in areas like Village Ithado, Village Kandaro, Village Urs Sumra, and various sites across Tehsil Kaloi, Diplo, Mithi, and Islamkot in Tharparkar.
At CFWO, our commitment is straightforward and heartfelt: to stand beside vulnerable families, support children in need, and build real, long-term change through compassion, transparency, and true partnerships with the communities we serve.
Together, we’re keeping that family flame alive—bringing hope to where it’s needed most.
